I went to Fare Healthy today at the Truman Brewery. What a treat!
I started the day off at 10am with a wonderfully fun and playful yoga class with Annie Clarke from Mind Body Bowl (perfect way to start a Sunday!) followed by a Mindfulness talk hosted by Michael James Wong with Jody Shield, Shona Vertue and Annie Clarke.
I grabbed a matcha latte from Tea Pigs en route to the talk (delicious as ever!) and one of the girls there gave me one of their chilled matchas to take home and try. Such a friendly bunch!
The talk was hosted in a lovely bright space. Speaking on meditation Jodie put it "Start simply, start somewhere". By that, try different types of meditation, go to classes and allow yourself to be guided. Download the Headspace app as really effective meditation tool.
As Michael put it at the end: Meditation is not about the eyes closed experience, it is about the eyes open experience afterwards. Finding new appreciation and senses.
After that it was time to explore and find some food (where to start?!). I got a savoury pancake from Pip and Nut which was bloody delicious. I bought their recipe book recently so am excited to try out some more meals from them.
I also stocked up on some sweet treats from a mix of the stands including Tequila Donut where I bought some vegan unicorn meringues. Look how fabulous they are!
There's nothing I love more than a scented candle and was delighted to find where they were selling soy candles. Ohros' candles all smelled divine! I went for 'nut butter' and 'amber and bergamot'.
I also bought this cute little tee because I'm obsessed with sweet potato. It's made from organic cotton by Conscious Tee.
My final stop of the day was Arganic where I bought some oils - one for consumption (I hear shots of this stuff does wonders for the gut/bloating) and the other is for face/air. The girls there were so sweet and helpful too.
I always love when you can properly chat to people about the product and find out more. The thing I really enjoyed about the day was how approachable everyone was. Honestly there was a great vibe!
Upon leaving I got a delightful goody bag which was filled to the brim. I now have enough food to last for a week of hibernation.
